This is my 1st Vlog/rant/whatever you wanna call it. It's my own opinion's and thought's so you should not take this seriously or offensively. You are welcome to comment and let me know what your thoughts are on this.
So, here we go. I was on twitter and the beautiful Christine (spelling?) aka Temptalia (link at the top) had a very good question. It was "what concerns do you have with bloggers getting free products to review?". I thought this was a very good question that I think a lot of people wither they're Guru's, Bloggers, Company's , or Consumers will have fun answering. Of course each with a good point to their own personal opinions. As for me, I would consider myself the blogger and consumer. I think it's awesome that some people are fortunate enough to receive free products to do reviews on. I understand that from the Supplier's point they are trying to get their "name" and products out there so that more people would want to try their stuff. (very smart!) But I also feel that they tend to give it to people who already get a ton of free stuff and or for example have a shizz load of subscribers on youtube. Which again is smart because of course they are trying to get their name out there. BUT, my things is that there are a lot of people out there who read blogs and watch youtube videos for reviews who aren't experienced, who are new to this, or un-familiar in the "beauty" community. So if I were one of them, I would like to hear opinions from experienced people AND not so experienced people. It would personally make me feel more comfortable having an "expert" so to say, as well as someone "just like me" opinion. I think that it's stupid and almost prejudice for company's who say that you can't review their products unless you have so many subscribers/followers. That's crap! All those who do have ton's of subscriber/followers once only had a few to begin with. Everyone learns, grows and progress's as time and practice go by. But I do feel that EVERYONE no matter what deserve a chance wither they're a top rated Guru/blogger or a newbie.
Well, that was fun! My first Vlog and on a topic that I had a lot to say about. yay! Well, I hope some of you found this interesting or helpful in some sorta way. Let me know how you feel about this, I want to know what all of YOU out there think. Leave me a comment or feel free to email me.
Have a great day everyone & don't forget to smile :)

Maybelline SuperStay 24HR Makeup
Review:
Maybelline SuperStay 24HR Liquid Foundation. (Honey Beige)
Here is what Maybelline claims:
SuperStay™ 24HR Makeup stays comfortable and looks naturally flawless all day
Micro-Flex formula provides 24-hour wear and No Transfer
Withstands heat, sweat and humidity
Oil-free, dermatogolist tested, fragrance-free. Suitable for all skin types
Directions:ShakeWell.Apply smoothly and evenly to your face and blend with your fingertips.
Ok, where do I start? 1st of all I would like to say that I am pleased with the packaging of this product. It's very sleek and I love the White cap and labels, it makes it look fancy or expensive.. In my opinion. I picked mine up at Target for about $9 as it was originally priced at $12.00 but I had a coupon for $3 off so it's around the same price as Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation depending on where you buy it. I didn't care so much for the color selection as for me it was a toss up between Honey Beige and Caramel. Honey Beige seemed too light for my liking but the Caramel was way too dark. I think that they jumped too far from one color to the next as it was a huge difference in color. Plus they didnt' have too much color's to choose from in the 1st place.
When I applied it I did so with a damp sponge over a washed, moisturized & primed face (of course). The consistency is the same as Revlon Colorstay or MAC's Studio Fix Fluid. The application was a bit streaky and seemed like it dried up fast before I had time to blend it. I know that other people have said the same thing about Revlon Colorstay but I've never had that problem when I applied mine. It also felt like I was having to use way more product than I usually would use because the coverage seemed somewhat sheer-ER than other foundations I use. It was like I was loading up, and loading up on more and more product but the coverage wasn't building up. Once I set it with my powder (MAC's translucent Poweder) it looked "ok", but nothing special. It didn't feel like I was wearing too much makeup even though I caked on a lot of it, which is always a good thing :) I can't say if it holds up through Heat, Sweat and Humidity as where I live is on the Cooler, Dryer side for most of the year.
Overall I would have to say that it's over priced for the quality of the product. It's just OK in my honest opinion. I love Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation a lot and have not found a drugstore brand to beat it out yet! I'm still on the lookout for the "next best thing". ha ha. I say that everyone should at least give it a good try because what doesn't work for me, might work for you & vice versa. Of course I'm still going to use it because I'm a firm believer of not waisting anything unless it was drastically terrible, which it wasn't.
So there's my review on the New Maybelline SuperStay 24HR liquid foundation. Hope you found it helpful. If you have any questions or requests feel free to leave a comment, message me, or email me @ macupbytor@hotmail.com

Maybelline Pulse Perfection By Define-A-Lash Vibrating Mascara
(Blackest Black/Waterproof)
Disclaimer: I'm no expert except my own personal expertise. This is my 1st blog post soooo no harsh comments please & thank you :)
Ok, so this is the 1st "vibrating mascara" i've tried. It comes in a very sleek and in my opinion cute bottle. The bruss is plastic which I like because to me it seperates my lashes better than a rubber or softer bristled brush/applicator would. The consistency is good, not too thick and not too thin. The pigmentation is suuuuper black..hence the color "blackest black"... haha. As for the vibrator/vibration... whatever you wana call it is very subtle. Don't get me wrong, you can totally feel it when applying it BUT it's not obnoxious. When I 1st applied it it actually tickled my eye's to the point of me sneezing. lol. It's stopped feeling ticklish after a little bit, guess my eyes just needed to get adjusted. I have to say that this mascara LENGTHENS like no other mascara i've ever tried. It also thickens your lashes all depending on how many coats you apply. The finish result on both my top and bottom lashes were AMAZING!!! NO JOKE! And, the best part about it is it's hella affordable. I got mine for under $9 bucks but I had a $3 dollar off coupon. But still it's way more than affordable than Lancome's Vibrating Mascara (which I have not tried)But I haven't heard too much rave about it. I think Maybelline's Pulse Perfection mascara proudly takes the top spot on my Favorite mascara's list.....with Cover girls Lash Blast right behind it. I give it an over-all 10/10! I suggest you all give it a try & let me know how it works for you!
Until next time... Smile!
xoxo, tor
